Today as I was glancing through my referral logs, I noticed a hit from BuzzMetric's News Coverage page. Yep, for the first time, I have appeared under "news coverage", vs. as the "media contact". I am also getting pitched more and more these days about new products targeted at the PR/marketing field.
I chuckled about this, as it is such a clear demonstration of how blogs are causing the old boundaries between public relations, journalism, marketing, personal conversations, etc. to collapse and/or shift.
I am also happy to see that more PR people are starting to embrace blogs as influencers and acknowledging them as such on their news coverage sites. Too bad CES doesn't get it (they are refusing bloggers press credentials to go to that show).
