I have been spending a lot of time over the past couple weeks talking to people and dealing with the 10,000 details of planning and marketing an event (our Forum, of course!). I am also determined to stay sane by walking approximately one hour every day sun or snow. I have noticed that my blogging has really dropped off. C'est la vie, I guess.
I had an hour-long conversation with John Gerster of Communitelligence yesterday. They are getting ready for phase 2 of their portal, and I think it is going to be great. Communitelligence is a sponsor of the NewComm Forum, and I got to meet John in Napa, if only briefly. It was lots of fun to talk about what is happening in the global PR community and how links between all of us can be made, as we have so much to learn from each other.
Last week, I talked to Mattias Hohensee, the Silicon Valley bureau chief of Wirtschaftswoche, Germany's national business weekly magazine. We chatted about blogging in the US vs. Europe, the Forum, and the fact I have about 20 boxes of books in storage (he was amazed - or maybe amused). [And I have read every one!]
