London at at Standstill

Due to the multiple explosions in the tube and on at least one bus, the mobile and fixed line telecommunications networks are down.  The mass transportation system is shut down.  The City is locked down.

Blair just said "it is reasonably clear that there were terrorist attacks in London."  He is leaving the G8 in a few hours for London, and will return to Gleneagles later this evening.  He looks shocked and stunned.

Paris is on high alert, but nothing here yet.
