I hope you learned a lot at the Forum. I thank you for blogging about the event. If you feel you have gained benefit from the speakers and your visibility there, I would encourage you to consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Society for New Communications Research (donate here). That way, we can continue to bring you more events, in-depth research and case studies demonstrating how companies are successfully using new communications technologies. Thank you for your support.
Having spent several days in 'Silicon Valley', English weather is ... well ... cool - as in cold.
Elizabeth, it was great to meet you and wonderful to be able to be on the same platform. You need not feel in the least abashed about the forum. Its great. Every PR person should put it top of their conference budget.
Air travel is wonderful because it gives us so much time to keep up with our reading and I am now well into neuroscience as it can be applied to public relations (as in relationship management).
We are now on the cusp of the intersection of technology and neuroscience. We can see how people form into organisations (can I call them cultures) and what they do because the Internet makes organisations both porous and transparent.
It means that public relations has to become even more involved in new developments and this means they have to include the breadth of New Communications Forum in thier CPD.

Hi Elizabeth,
I was extremely impressed with the quality of the sessions at this year's New Communications Forum.
So much has changed in the blogosphere since the 2005 Forum. The sessions this year were in-depth and reflected how far we have progressed since early 2005.
This year there were more corporate marketing people attending, reflecting the growing importance of new forms of communication in business. I made several key connections. Also, I learned quite a bit about new developments that I am already putting to use in my University classes and presentations about blogging and RSS.
My hat (if I wore one) is off to you and Jen! Nice job.
Best,
Anita
